Google improves local business search

Google have improved their work on local business search, which unfortunately is still only local inside US. Now if you search the Google Web for say Mexican restaurants in Pasadena, CA, as the Google Blog suggests, you will get list of nearby Mexican restaurants with ratings summed from other websites. This could really come in handy we can get the list of Arabic restaurants and know which ones are real good. It’s really a shame many great Google services are still for specific areas only. SMS Alerts and Google Maps are two examples of such services I would love to have locally.
