I had this same issue, but change to Gmail, simply u can import all your contacts. and send email to all to update your email to the new one. Keep checking the old one for 6 months until you make sure all have directed to the new one. Hotmail is the worst in terms of spam fighting. Many sites ask you for registration simply to steal your email for spam. Spiders also look for emails on websites. I use my hotmail account to register in sites that I dont trust, just to get along. Second, switch to Gmail, it's much faster, better, and spam free. Third, if you do get spam in your inbox, mark it as spam.
