Halo 3 Costs Up To $149.99!
Posted by Bashar under Entertainment, Microsoft, Video Games
The winning card of XBox 360 is being utilized to the extreme. Microsoft have revealed the game will be released as 3 different editions:
- Halo 3 Standard Edition: The game it self for people who just want to play the game. This will cost $59.99.
- Halo 3 Limited Edition: Sleek metal collector’s case with bonus behind-the-scenes disc, along with some other documentary bonuses. Cost of that edition is $79.99.
- Halo 3 Legendary Edition: Two bonus disks featuring behind-the-scenes, documentaries, developer commentaries, storyboard and more. Most importantly, this edition will cost $149.99! That means it will cost around 100 KD in Kuwait :)
Nevertheless, I am still trying to play the original game only, and it’s not worth XBox console just for that. So Halo 3 is now Windows Vista like that comes in many different editions, and after only you decide you really want to buy it, it’s another 10 minutes to decide which edition suits you best. More on the story here.

The million dollar question is when will it be released, As i have heard PS3 is preparing a surprise for MS XBox360 and i really want to see some bone crushing between the two :-D

It’s another Vista as I said, so give it at least one year. And YES, PS3 must have something ready or else they better start packing. After 2 years of promising, we got the worst console release ever.
The good hot games have not been released yet however.

Errr…Off-topic…But I just kinda-sorta-did ordered an Xbox for some cult classics and to finally getting around to finishing Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, and another few games. I wrote that since you said ‘Not worth getting the Xbox for’ and I mentioned why I got it, hehe

Well, there goes another use for comment moderation, merging late comments ;)
Pardon me I am not filtering your comments. As for the games you mentioned, all are worthy of buying, not Xbox exclusive though.

Rule of thumb: Always get the games for the consoles they were designed for.
The “few games” are fantastic, mind. And mostly Xbox-exclusive.

Well, I am not sure which console it was designed for. I just bought it, and you may find it weird, but I’m way much better on PC.

I don’t think Halo fans will mind paying $150 a pop for “an over-hyped” game. I mean to me Halo just revolutionized online game but I have seen much better games that have better weapons and everything else like Half Life.
