Pirates Ye Be Warned!

Slashdot reports Logistep is using the system called File Sharing Monitor to track P2P users who are sharing illegal copies of games. In a nutshell, the system works by tracking the illegal files that are shared on the P2P network, tracking and logging user IPs and tracing them. The hope is that those trace information can be used in court as a proof against P2P users who are spreading those illegal copies, while some are suspecting it’s credibility.

This is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping would happen. It’ll really decrease piracy, but there’s still a huge problem: there are many SHOPS in the middle of the STREET that sell pirated games and nobody says “No”. I’ve seen lots of the stuff.
But prices are still an issue. I wanted to buy a game today, but the cheapest game was roughly $26 – and that’s a really old game. And we have a small choice.
This is the reason I support systems like Steam or Gametap.

Well i have a small question on the subject, since movies/games arrived
to our homes the prices of these content haven’t changed? Is that fair?
GO GO GO PIRACY CHINA FTW :-D
