How Strange BidVertiser Behaves!
Posted by Bashar under Advertisement, Google, Internet, Technology
Every now and then I think about trying alternatives to what I use. As for online ads, it’s always been Google Ads. When I tried others, I found out they all have higher minimum Cost Per Click, and I even tried Microsoft Ad Center, which after completing the sign-up process took me back to the first page to sign-up again! With some services you can accept minor bugs and glitches. But when you are putting your money and business on the line, you need to trust how accurate this system will calculate the cost, and how efficient and flexible it is. How much you can rely on it. With BidVertiser, this is my story:
I signed up few months back to give it a shot. For some reason I did not use their service back then, probably because of high minimum cost-per-click or high minimum daily budget. Right now it seems their minimum CPC is down to $0.01, so that’s good. Anyways, I stopped there last time and since then they kept chasing me with promotional offers via email. Today I got a $20 FREE credit to use, so I said what the heck? I will use it anyways, and then decide if the service is worth investment. They somehow allowed themselves to send me the username and password in clear. Makes you wonder how secured your balance is. Anyhow, I still wanted to use the FREE gift, but upon trying to sign-in, I got invalid username/password provided! But HOW? I copied and pasted the same username/password and still the same thing! OK, I will use Forgot Password instead. Providing my email address I got this nice sorry message:
“Sorry, but the E-mail address you specified, “***@gmail.com” is not associated with any Advertiser account.”
How on earth can you be sending me promotional emails with my username/password and then say I don’t have any advertiser account! This is when you should walk away from the service, and never turn back. But before, let’s unsubscribe from their service so I don’t keep receiving their emails.
Ooops…
“If you wish to unsubscribe from the Publisher Email Notifications, simply login to your account and choose to unsubscribe under “Account Management -> Edit Profile”.
I have to be signed-in to unsubscribe. But I can’t sign-in since I’m not registered, yet I do receive emails because I did register. Or perhaps I didn’t! Confusing hah! So now what? Simply click Report Spam and that’s it for little BidVertiser.

When the site behaves that weird, it’s not a place to put your money in. Believe me I know from experience.
I joined affiliate programs from most famous sites. When I faced problems with setting up my account, they never replied to my email! Same thing goes Quigo for advertisement. It’s new comer in online ads and I requested to join, received thank you email we will contact you shortly… and they never came back.

Pretty wise man. Hmm.
I would unsubscribe too after that.
The internet … scary place.

LOL @ the wiseman comment! He’s right, though, I should learn from that quote :P
and LMAOF @ the little dilemma you got there.. you’re right just mark it as spam - less of a headache. Not all sites are secure and even the ones that are experience glitches and stuff..
at least now you now “they bad” ;P

Quotes are real great thing to learn from aren’t they :)
And yeah, many services are bad by just signing in. Thank God I didn’t go any further.
