The CEO who has made the open source Firefox browser a $55million revenue generator gets interviewed APC Magazine. The interview talks about the startup of the current fast booming browser, future plans to have it on mobile (that would be something) and other interesting stuff. It’s the first time here I read about the Cairo rendering engine and the possible Adobe Flash threat.

I didn’t know Firefox is open-sourced!

Firefox is based on the Mozilla project, which was open sourced in the past, thus it has to be open source as well. It is the power of the browser being open source encourages people to add to it for FREE.
On the contrary, many add-on features in IE7 I heard require license.

And with it being open-sourced, we can access the source code to see what was done how. This was a really good interview. Thanks for linking.
