And the second Sam & Max season is on the way
While others are still planning and promising a come back to the adventure classics in 2015, others have already started making money and are moving on with Season 2.
I mean really. How many successful adventure games have been released recently, after public thought it’s almost dead. I agree adventure games are not that much money making as heavy action adventure ones, but then again, they don’t cost or take that long to develop either. I’ve heard of games that keep in the development for over 2 years. Now that’s too long to wait to see if you will really make money or not. Meanwhile, have something short on the side that will cash some money in. Right now, I can’t tell how many new adventure games I still have to play but don’t have the time for. But it’s not less than 5 I’m sure. This and more is coming like A Vampyre Story and Insecticide. Better get started before it’s too late to call my self adventure fan :).

2- Actually, what I would love to have is Sam & Max Freelance Serges. Imagine funny games like Donkey Kong on Super Nintendo, but bring it to the next level. 3D yet still funny to play and easy to control. You have to die in action/adventure game ofcourse, but new type of games make it easy to repeat from where you are, no lock or repeat long levels.
After all, Wii did show thier interest into S&M characters didn’t they? Just give it couple of years and you will be able to see them in Super Smash Brothers and all.
1- Episodic games are wonderful for non-hardcore/people-with-lives-gamers.
2- I wonder if we can combine adventure games with something else … and yet keep them funny and no killing and fun. Hmm.
