Actually this is kind of doable with Q8Ba7th if you know what you are looking for. Say you search for Harry Potter but you don’t want forum results. All forums are labeled with Communities. So after you do a search, do a refinement for NEWS and you should be able to have it.
It may help to develop a technique for users to make the engine avoid forums. It happens a lot that you’re looking for something, all you find is a mention to it in forums.
