The History of Video Games
History of video games summed up nicely in 114 games compiled in 1 video clip:
If this is not enough, or you are someone into biography and like to read (or mostly see) more, this is the complementary book for you:
The book takes you back in time to the seventies, when the first gaming machine ever was created, and takes you on the longest gaming colorful journey till mid of this decade. I got this book recently as I love to have a graphical history of how the games evolved. There is one thing about this book of two sides. It is more graphically presented rather than textually. This means it’s nice and fun to browse quickly, you will also get some numbers and facts about storage and gaming medias, how long they were produced and selling figures when available (Monkey Island snapshot is there also as an important milestone in the history of gaming). If you are looking however for a text book with long small text pages to read in depth about the evolution of gaming, this probably isn’t the book for you. Even though I wonder how many gamers are interested in text rather than images :).

D: IT HAPPENED AGAIN!!!
I WILL GO BACK TO STUDYING IN A MINUTE, STUDYING IS HARD, BUT I GUESS I’LL DO FINE. Lol and yes, Ron’s interview is fascinating. It was a lot of fun to read, and very, very funny. And finally, all the LucasArts guys are working on stuff. Mata Hari, Brutal Legend, Insecticide, Sam and Max Season Two, Penny Arcade, the un-announced MMO, A Vampyre Story, whatever Ron is designing now. Good times ahead, eh?
