Kindle Sales Rank on Amazon
Posted by Bashar under Amazon, Technology
So Amazon have revealed their hope for revolution of eBook reading, portable reader called Kindle. Ever since the announcement and people have been submitting bad and worse reviews. Most from people who did not even buy it, but just can’t bare the concept of paying $400 for a book reader that if someday breaks, you would lose all your collected books. Currently Kindle has 3/5 Star rating on Amazon after it was 2.5 only. But what about the sales? Amazon are promoting this thing like crazy and so far I haven’t heard a lot about the sales. So let’s check Amazon Sales rank for this item.
Ohhh… It’s # 1 seller…
On Kindle Store! What a nice way to hide sales figures ;). Not sure if it’s intentional or not, but this sales rank is just useless this way.

It has to be #1 because amazon is the only one selling it!

3baid: No, what I meant is how much is it selling to other technical gadgets on Amazon, but since they have added it to it’s own category, it is # 1 seller at maybe zero/day :P

It’s a psychological effect Amazon’s using on its customers “Ukh it’s a #1 seller!! It has to be good khal akhtha”
I wouldn’t consider buying Kindle! One of the beauties of reading a book is holding it and flipping through its pages..the old traditional way!
Nice post, me like!

Kaileena: Welcome and Thanks for your comments. Flipping a book even for core geeks is still mostly preferred. However eBooks could come in handy for traveling and/or occasional idle times. Like when I have nothing at work :(
Still though, I’m not buying it. I got iPod full of podcasts ;)

Kaileena: Question… Since you seem to be a gamer, any chance your name coems from the Prince of Persia game :>

Yup! You see my nickname was always Kai, and when I recieved Warrior Within after long anticipation I recieved a jolt after opening the game’s booklet..I found a character by the name of Kaileena with hairstyle IDENTICAL to mine (back then) and a jaw line exactly like mine!
Of course I wasn’t pleased with how the character’s graphics in the game..what with the exaggerated body features..the ugly face and the unbelievably terrible hairstyle 00; but I liked the name none the less. ^^

Kaileena: She was better off dead. Prince of Persia is one of best games I ever played :)

LOL Yea I agree! uhwa the character’s personality was good (especially in Two Thrones) but the design 00;! Yea POP is an amazing trilogy! I played each game more than once! The soundtracks simply lovely (especially WW’s)

Kaileena: WW is my favorite part followed by Sands of Time and then Two Thrones where they spoiled the story somehow. I wanted to get the official soundtrack, and come to think of it, I still might. Its just not available anywhere.
Well, anyways. Assassin’s Creed is not any less than PoP I’d say. Same team, new theme :)

I purchased the soundtrack of WW awhile ago! You can find it in Amazon :
