InCrawler blocked by Qualitynet!

Again, I was trying out the list of 24 recommended meta-search engines, when I found out one of them, InCrawler, is blocked by our ISP Qualitynet. Now for those of you who may not know, a meta-search engine is a search engine that gets its search results from other multiple search engines, and combine them in a way for the end user. So they are basically a search engine, just like any other. You can search for bad offensive stuff there, or for technical or any other useful stuff. However thanks to Bojacob’s tip last time, I tried to query the site category online and it was marked as pornography. Why? I’m not so sure. Doing several searches, and looking at the main page, I could see Yahoo! main page more offending as they show some celebrity pics and stuff, when all this one does is:

InCrawler

KEMS does not block it, yay KEMS, switch to them.

I don’t get it…

Don Veto: You think so? Are they more stable?
I dont want to bother switching unless it’s really meaningful.

Bojacob: Maybe I wasn’t so clear. My last post about blocking DailyMotion, you pointed me to a link that will show blocked sites

Well KEMS is ok with me, not super but not bad also. Try them out for a month and see how it works.

I think what will happen that they will do like “6ash ma 6ash” the episode that they block site by site until in the end they blocked last site on the internet were the users can’t access anything on internet .
First search engines then blogs …etc

Don Veto: Well in terms of service, I heard KEMS are not good for individuals. Blocking I believe is an issue with all ISPs. The solution is with fast proxy ;) But perhaps I will sometime. Thanks

Mahbob: Well, blogs have already been hit times and times :). I just never thought a search engine would come next!

LOL no I meant I don’t get why it was blocked. SmartFilter’s database has too much bullcrap categorizations.

There’s a category change suggestion though in the website checker. Maybe that’ll do some good.

Come on, I’m not that dense!

Bojacob: Sorry, I thought it maybe was old post and you forgot about it :). Yeah I saw the change suggestion. But I can see it’s already changed. But guess what, Qnet still blocks it!

Guess it’s still cached or something :)

Don Veto: KEMS is blocking Arab Times :(
