Nothing special in shipping prices. No details on shipping speed. Custom Duty service, I recall Aramex telling me they charge fixed 30 KD service fee for doing the customs, and it takes minimum 3 days or so, DHL could be better here. 2% insurance might be good when you are ordering dear valuable item. But to what extent they cover? I think I will give them a call and see.

We got an account a few weeks back .. details and review should be up in a week or two.

DHL WORST COMPANY EVER, and highest prices!!

the lady working on DHL promoting the service used to work on ARAMIX. They are her teachers

Sarita? isnt she who was initially working with aramex when this service started?

Interesting, I think that DHL has much more experience than Aramex .. I remember asking them about whether they had this service years ago coz it makes sense since they already have offices and deliver in Kuwait .. but again we’ll have to try it then judge ..

K.TheKuwaiti: Great. I’ll be looking for your take on it

anony: Are they really? I don’t know about prices, but service my experience’s been good.

Honest: Well, that’s interesting :). But you know, if she’s so good, I say Aramex shouldn’t lose her then.

Rayboy: WOW… you really remember names! Is she the Indian one with curly hair style? That’s the one that always shows up

MrMMM: Yeah. Let’s see K.TheKuwaiti :)
I trust him

But hey… this makes me wonder. Where did they got our emails from? I have no business with DHL, so my only guess is, she did
select name,email from users;
before she left Aramex. If that’s the case, I think Aramex should move against them!

she mostly copied all names and e-mails from aramex when she worked , the people who got aramex when she was there got e-mail from DHL but my friends who got their aramex 3 month ago didn’t

also i believe DHL suck , they wanted to rip me of extra money even after i payed for the shipping

forzaq8: Well thanks for the tip. I wanted to double check with others. I believe I’m sticking so far with Aramex. I hate spammers

1st ½ Kg KD 2.500 and every additional ½ Kg KD 2.000

:|

Aramix, from Kuwait to Dubai, 1st half kilo 16 kd, every additional is 3 kd :O

oLLLLLa!!

I knew that DHL more expensive than Aramix, as DHL has their own planes, unlike aramix.. This is what Aramix told me..

If u r ok with aramix no need to switch :D

Good luck, this is my 1st visit, I loved: “what I am reading” section! Cool

So did you call them? Is it any good?
The insurance part sounds good as you have mentioned.

Keep us posted.

LOL you wanna laugh? Sarita is the one who set up my Aramex mailbox a few years back.. what’s she doing there?!

I’m willing to give it a shot..Aramex gamow yil3oboon bil prices way too much..

Even if they aren’t better..it’s good to have competition around, might enhance the efficiency and possibly lower prices!

Mai: Thanks for dropping by, glad you liked it :). I’m not sure about the 16 KD Kuwait to Dubai cost, but I assume it’s different as it’s special delivery, while US to Kuwait is common so you get a better rate.

MacaholiQ8: Well to be honest I lost interest when I knew they are spamming us when they stole emails from Aramex. I hate spammers. Also, I kinda depended on K.TheKuwaiti as he is already trying it. He said within 2 weeks he will post about them :) (Lazy I know!)

Kaileena: I agree it’s good to have competition. Fair one. First, it’s unethical and illegal of Sarita to steal all Aramex customer emails and use them to market DHL service. How can I trust her anymore. Second, all prices are going up if you’ve noticed :(. And DHL are coming with exact same prices. They don’t want to create price war, it’s unhealthy for both sides. But let’s hope it will make both sides more aware about their customers.

So far, I have no plans of changing until I see a real good reason.

Yeah I noticed..Back when I purchased my Gamecube online, Aramex charged me 14 kd for delivering it..now I pay 11-12 kd for a bunch for DVD boxsets (much much lighter than the GC with it’s equipment)!
Yup the prices are pretty similar, but there’s always hope! Maybe DHL has a surprise weapon!

Kaileena: SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE. That would be it. :)… By the way, I should note I don’t know that many female gamers who go and buy games online since GameCube age!

A friend of mine made a prophecy. He said Bashar one day, game top scores is gonna be taken over by women. NO GOD I SAID. But it seems judgment day cannot be stopped, but only postponed. (Terminator 3)

Belive me DHL is much better….Actually I’m working for Aramex and they do totally suck. If you people can see waht i’m seeing inside and how they handle your shipments, losing laptops, throwing shipments here and there, etc… i’d say DHL is much better. Not to mention they also incresed their rates this 2008.

Cheezeballs: Thanks for your feedback. Appreciate it. I do not really trust Aramex to heart with my items. You can imagine how many times a box is thrown here and there. However what I’ve been reading about DHL Virtual Address seems much worse so far.

please send more details of the DHL virtual US address to my e-mail. I am a Nigerian

james: Sorry, thats all I have. Not even a website link. I don’t think they have it in Nigeria, seems like Kuwaiti thing only, and it’s not good I heard. You may wanna try contacting the email I posted above.

try http://www.myUS.com they have been around since 1997 and have the best service. You dont pay duty for all your items like DHL service.

makiko: Thanks. I’ve heard of them before. However their prices are way high I can’t afford it.

It is the old saying “you get what you pay for”. Everyone complains about Aramex service and DHL will not be any better. Theses companies do forwarding business as a side business to fill their planes. Companies like http://www.myus.com specialize in the business, provide the great customer serice and offer what the customers want.

Ill pay extra for a car that does not breakdown every time I drive it.

makiko: Thanks makiko again. For DHL you’re right. However Aramex relies on Shop & Ship heavily as primary source of revenue.

And the high price of myus makes it unjustifiable to buy from outside. It will be same as local price eventually.

there’s a service I came across yesterday that might help. It’s called http://www.onUSAaddress.com, they basically assign you a real address in the USA and you can order your USA good to this address and they then take it from there to forward them on to you.

Sarah: Thanks. Have you tried them? Three main factors always come into play:

1- Price
2- Shipping speed
3- Ability to pass customs

I will check it out, thanks again

Sarah: Daah… link didn’t open with me :(

the union killed dhl like they killed airbon and putting the wrong people in charge
