Another Sea Cable Cut At Alexandria
My friend told me there is another sea cable cut at Alexandria (Again, Egypt), and that explains the extremely unbearable slow internet today. We’ve got some great days ahead of us.
But there is one good thing from it. YouTube is technically blocked! Hey.. Is that a conspiracy? Or extreme stupidity?
Either ways dark days will come, and it will not be Happy Eid after all

So that’s the problem!! KEMS said it was maintenance and since my bro’s fasteleco was fine, I just believed the guy and didn’t make an issue!

United Networks shouldn’t be affected since they are licensed for satellites, but last cable cut incident we were off for a whole day .. don’t know why ??
offff does that mean they wouldn’t solve this issue by morning … I think I’m going to call in sick for work … min la khilq whining over virtually no Internet!
MacaholiQ8: Well, it could be. When I said YouTube blocked, I meant, with slow connection, it’s technically unusable, thus blocked :). Nevertheless, the guys seemed to have figured a different routing or something like that.
maryam: I know Fastelco & Qnet users have been facing problems yesterday. Not sure about United Networks. I’m not sure how their satellite connection exactly goes.
Sea Cables are usually buried under the sea, and they are inside huge and strong pipes from what I’ve seen. They are also not cheap or easy to install, so maybe that’s why not so many redundancy.
Anyways, internet is perfect since last night. Perhaps a different route saved the day

Its really true the cables are cut. I am from india & here over 80% internet is off. I heard that an 80 ton Anchor was responsible for the cable cut. Authorities of egypt told that it may take more than 10 days to restore the status.

well you all can check the updates that will be at francetelecom wepsite.. and about the kuwait ISP am Qnet user and all Kuwait ISPs are infected since they all use the same cable and the only one thats routes from Q8 to the infected cables.. its boring as hell.. no more online games.. not even browsing :’( and after some resreachs i did.. ive found some forums and sites says its purposed..
and i agree with them.. 3 cables at once?! srsly comeon.. and even the owner campany of the cables not sure what actully happend.. you can check that on there site.. good luck all wish you happy time..
Harsh: Thanks Harsh for this contribution. Indeed, even western media started speculating, conspiracy is not completely false possibility. For me, I can browse, though slower than before. I can YouTube also. But the experience is not the same at all :(.
I think this whole cable cut is a conspiracy. I mean how the hell would a cable in the middle of the sea split into half? Some smart fish leeching our connections?
