Dave: Sad isn’t it :(. And problem is, once Google decides to open in our country, we have the Ministry of Communication to deal with. They don’t wanna give away all the bucks coming from international calls!

COme on guys, learn to use google! Anyway, this is how you can “crack” the system and get your google voice number.

UrMom: Thanks. This is useful to get the number, but it still isn’t like living in US, cause if I want to really use it, I will have to ask my Kuwaiti friends to call this outside Google number! I will have to try and make sure, but probably call forwarding would be limited to US numbers as well?

I am getting this error, too, as a US citizen whose Google profile is set to Arizona, US, surfing from a US DSL line!

Hey,
For those that are in the states or canada and are still getting the message … google voice is available but there are certain region detection problems you may encounter … for that the best you can do is go for a proxy that is hosted in US/Canada region and sign in from there …. changing the network may even work ..

I tried it & workiung fine from one email (got this 82828*0202 google number) .. i wanted to register another number for my wife in her account but i got this msg that it is not working in my country ! i searched the web chan ashoofik ya Bashar 9odfa :)
