bloggylife: Was there such shipment? Then I guess I'm within it. Do you have any idea how much it cost to ship it back? I'll just stick to it :)

Shaymaa: Yeah I recall the Sony one. Why did you ditch it too quick? Did it not live to expectations, or was out-dated by cybook?

This is a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_e-book_formats#Supporting_Hardware" rel="nofollow">nice comparison</a> of all eBooks support for different file formats.

I appreciate your support for open formats, and I bet it opens doors for different sellers of the same book. Where do you buy books from? And how is the experience compared to Kindle, with the DRM thing aside?

I should note most people aren't getting my misfortunate battery issue.

Bnsofts: As a man, a Kindle would be a perfect gift for me if I didn't have one. I should note that this is kind of a special issue most people are not facing it seems. Perhaps a bad shipment of some sort. Even with that, I'm loving my Kindle, and given the current position Amazon holds, I would still go and buy a Kindle if I wanted an eBook Reader.

I don't know a lot about the Samsung eBook Reader, or in fact nothing at all. But a good eBook reader I think should have:

- good size to hold, like the Kindle 6". I didn't like Kindle XD size.

- DRM FREE: It's much better if they sell their ebooks DRM free, Kindle doesn't ofcourse.

- Battery life is important.

- Note taking, bookmarks, built-in dictionary... all stuff in Kindle, make sure you get them with your eBook reader.

- eBook Pricing. In general, Kindle has best pricing. See <a href="http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Aqs5mJKCnOoUdHVtRWFnVnpyX3pWVGxmclJsYkpqLXc&hl=en" rel="nofollow">this sheet</a>. Although it's prior to some publishers forced their prices up on Amazon.

After reading up a lot about ereaders and thinking it would be a great present to my boyfriend, I have decided to wait for the new samsung that is out. I was going to get a kindle possibly, but it seems to be having a lot of issues, and the features dont quite cut it.
