Google Embeds Ads in Image Search

Today I noticed that Google have started introducing Sponsored Ads on top of their image results page. Right now if I try several searches again however, for some reason it doesn’t show up. Was it just a small testing period? Maybe. The ads anyways don’t ruin the page look and usability to an annoying level. Click Image below to see big view of it.

Google Image Search Ads

Question now is whether text ads will have good conversion when user is searching for images.

Let me know if you also see it, and what you think of it.

I rarely click on the ads in web searches. Always seems irrelevant to my needs, because they’re always selling/advertising something I guess!

maryam: It is always more likely that search results are more relevant and valuable than ads, but still, Google won’t be that big billion dollar industry if ppl weren’t clicking the ads :)
